Beagle (medium coat) : : Male : : Adult : : Medium
Matthew arrived as a stray, and our best guess is that he probably dug his way out of his confined kennel area if he was kept outside! He loves to see what is under that top layer of dirt! He follows his nose whereever it takes him, and wishes he could go farther than a leash allows. If Matthew could choose a career in the human world, we think he would probably love sniffing out food items people are trying to smuggle through airport security checks—he is that driven! He can be a little bossy with other dogs, and is an in-your-face playmate, which is not appreciated by all other dogs. When he finds a friend to play with that is his equal energy-wise, he is in heaven! He’s in high energy friend who would love to go running on a regular basis to stay trim and fit.
