Update: Now in a wonderful foster home. Her foster renamed Priscilla to Gracie.Sometimes it takes time out of the shelter to really truly feel what the dog needs to be called. We are thrilled that she has had a good first night in her foster home and has not been overwhelmed by a spay and a transition to a home. Her foster mom feels she'd prefer having a dog companion and children in the home.

Gracie (formerly called Priscilla) is a three to four year old girl who arrived as a stray, has wiggled her happy body and wagged her tail through her ten day hold time, and is now ready to find a permanent  home. She gets along well with other dogs, showing great social finesse as she helps them with appropriate meet snd greet skills. At the shelter she was pretty laid back in her kennel run. For a dog who is most likely a former hunting dog, she does very well on a leash. She prefers being loose in the play yard with a friend where she can sniff whatever she wants, but doesn’t object when it is time to go inside. She enjoys snuggling on her soft bed at her foster home! We discovered when the vet stopped by for a visit that she is heartworm positive, so we have already started treating her for that infection. If you are interested in adopting, we will work with you to complete her treatment. In the meantime, she is being spoiled rotten by her foster mom and is happy to make this adjustment to being a spoiled foster dog while she waits for that forever home to come along.
