UPDATE: Check out Raina's video to see how well she is doing after her surgery. - - -

Raina, is a youngster who arrived in our care with a fractured femur, after being found on the roadside in a rural part of our county. She is lovely with other dogs, but is not able to play with them until she has had surgery and it has healed. The vet said her fracture appeared to have been "not recent," as there was no swelling. We wonder how long she had been injured, and how the accident occurred.  There are many scenarios, from being hit by a car, to being kicked, to having caught her leg in a fence as she was scaling it! Her surgery was the end of November, and she has been healing in a foster home. This week, the pin in her leg was removed, she was spayed, and she is now available to be adopted. We feel she needs a most patient person to help her adapt to a new home. She is quite social with cats, and loves cuddle time on the sofa, but may be less social than we hoped with other dogs initially. Please consider this princess IF you are okay with a dog needing some time to adjust.
