Hound / Retriever / Mixed (medium coat) : : Female : : Baby : : Large
Found as a very shy stray by a citizen who kept her for several days and then brought her to us for rehoming, we have no background about Maxey, other than that she is still learning to adapt to being with humans, and is still nervous around the dogs in her foster home. Maxey’s foster mom is giving her time to adapt and adjust and will not be racing to adopt her out until she is ready. Her ideal home will include a fenced yard, a family with patient gentle children over the age of ten, and one other motherly dog to teach her good social skills. She is going to be a big dog! Right now she does not enjoy being handled but she is learning that that’s a good way to get special treats!
