From Jason's foster mom: Hi, I’m Jaxson! Are you looking for a new best friend, someone who’s a good listener, that’s me! I am 11 months old and looking for the right home! I’d love a backyard where I can run and play. I love other dogs and cats, too. I walk really well on a leash and I’m completely housetrained! I sleep straight through the night (I’m a good snuggler)! We are so excited that we can move into this phase of the summer where our dogs get to go out for great adventures! We had no idea he was a water lover but Heidi, his hostess, couldn’t keep him out of the creek! He is around a year old, and as you can see, he is very well-rounded when it comes to water! He did a good job learning to walk on the leash the day she took him. Here’s what she has to say about him. “Yesterday I took Jaxson to the park. You were right he is new to harness walking. But he's learning. It was all very exciting for him, especially squirrels! But it was hot, so I took him down to the creek. That was his true love. He wanted to swim up the creek, but compromised by standing very, very still as deep as he could get on the leash. He loved it so much I was afraid I'd have to go in to get him out. He's a real water dog! He is a little shy in the noisy shelter, but is learning that the volunteers are nice. He is working on leash walking and housetraining. Jaxson is very smart and can figure out the fence latches quickly! He could excel in training classes. Jaxson is heartworm positive, and his treatment will be sponsored for an approved adopter.
