Cocker Spaniel (medium coat) : : Female : : Senior : : Medium Learn more about the Cocker Spaniel.
Once you’ve had a sweet cocker spaniel, there’s no going back to another breed! Bridget’s family asked for assistance in rehoming Bridget and her canine “sister” due to a move. Bridget is as sweet as they come; she is superbly well-socialized with all humans, from adults to children. We discovered that she loves going for car rides, snd happily jumps into the car to ride shotgun. Back at home, she is a snuggler when she gets a lap to sit on, but she is also crate trained, and she is house trained. You might say she is perfection! Other than her perfect behavior, she is currently struggling to overcome that ear infection that Cockers can be prone to getting. It’s being treated, but it hurts! We understand from her family that this has been a chronic problem for her, and chronic problems are not usually solved easily. For this reason, we really prefer sending her to a home where the family has had experience dealing with ear issues, and is quite willing to continue babying a new dog and helping her get through it. We cannot predict the future; her ears may heal and never have another concern, but this may be ongoing, which will require more frequent vet visits. If you have a loving home, a warm lap and means to provide vet care, please fill out an application.
