UPDATE: Abner has made a 180 degree turn from his initial introduction to our care. He is now the Wal-Mart greeter to every cat coming in to foster care, as well as the great protector of humans. Who would ever have thought this shy, injured boy would become the social chairman of the Cat Castle at his foster home? I’m impressed!

A true fairy tale is what Abner is all about! From a timid, scaredy-cat personality, after a couple months in a foster home, Abner has opened the door to confidence and happiness! Every morning he greets his foster mom by running to meet her when she heads toward the food bowl to open up his can of pate for the day! He used to be a shy, shrinking violet, and truth be known, if another cat wanted to beat him up, he would not fight, but he is at least willing to stand his ground and enjoy life without being terrified of other cats. He is also tolerant of dogs! Abner is neutered, tested negative for FelvFIV, and is current with vaccines.
