Roxy is a teacup Chihuahua who appears to be middle-aged, and was signed over to the shelter recently. It was obvious from her appearance that she was very ill, and when we took her to the vet office, we were saddened to learn that she had incurred parvovirus, after being exposed to a sick puppy in her home.  She is now considered "clear," and is ready to start her search for a home. Here is what we are looking for: a  place, where there will be a lap available for cuddling and snuggling, as well as a patient human willing to continue her housetraining. She really has no clue most of the time, but the only endearing factor is that she is teeny tiny and so are her pee spots and her poop.  She is fine with other dogs (currently living with three larger breeds) and is fine with cats, too. We do request families whose children are over the age of ten for her safety, and we request that if you are older and have stability issues, consider a larger dog that will not be underfoot and cause you to lose your balance! Roxy disappears easily and is not always easy to pick up. She has become outgoing now, and extremely active. She would absolutely love to have a fenced yard, although she can squeeze through the smallest openings in a regular fence. She will be spayed and have her teeth cleaned the first week of March. There is a $200 fee to adopt.
