Sweet fostered boy Asher, a.k.a. Nugget, woke up with a nasty infection in his eye yesterday. Nugget will be spending the day at the vet office today while they try to determine what is going on with his eye. Asher Nugget came to us several months ago after being severely burned from an unknown origin. We guess he was probably burned when crawling under a car after it had been driven. He survived a nasty infection and surgery to close up the wound on his back, and he has been waiting patiently for an adoptive home. The setback just proves how patient and gentle he is, as he allows himself to be handled and examined without complaint. If you’re looking for an awesome cat who enjoys handling, fetches a ball like a dog, and will sit for a treat, this is the one for you! He is neutered, tested for feline leukemia feline aids, and is microchipped. He’s ready to go home with you, once we get through this eye problem.

Found with a major burn on his back most likely from crawling up under a car, Asher is a true survivor, and has made his way through treatment for his burn with great aplomb. He is a doll, beloved by all in his foster home, but he really does need a forever home where he can play with other cats, enjoy the company of dogs, and be part of a family.
