BUSTER is a Great Pyrenees that is looking for a home where he can be a companion, and not a livestock guardian. Someone forgot to switch on the “working dog” line when he was born, so instead of guarding, he chases. That’s not a good trait for a dog who is expected to take care of baby livestock! So—instead, Buster has agreed to be a house pet and leave the guarding to others. Buster has not been around smallish dogs, but we feel he would probably play a little too rough with them, and feel the same problem might exist with cats. Buster is awesome with kids, other dogs at his foster home (most of which are his size), and all adults. He appears to be housetrained,  he is neutered, heartworm negative, and current with vaccines.  He will need a sturdy six foot fence (because he’s a climber, if you plan to utilize outdoor fencing, or you may prefer a fence with a “hotwire” to discourage climbing.)  (No invisible fencing, please!) Buster told us he is not too fond of riding in a car, and would need practice  and "conditioning" if his new family plans to take him many places! To adopt, start with an application, which will be forwarded to his foster family: friendsofcampbellcounty.org
