SKYE is three years old and is extremely shy. Her adjustment to her new life is moving slowly; she was not treated nicely by her kennel mates in her previous environment, and needs time to build up confidence. Her foster home will give this three-year-old Yorkie/Welsh terrier mix plenty of time to fit in and learn to trust humans and other dogs. We don't know what happened to her in her previous life, but she has been traumatized by life in general, from all appearances. She will not be a good fit for a family with children, as she is terrified by quick movements by anyone, and will retreat to a hiding place. She is one of those "special needs" babies that will require the most patient person in the world to come out of her shell and become a happy family dog. Because of her flight risk, we feel that it would be beneficial to her to have a fenced yard, and another very nice dog to become her friend--she is dog selective, and needs a laid-back easy going friend who has excellent social skills, since Skye is definitely lacking in that area. We will happily tell you more if you fill out an application, so we know what you are looking for.

Her adoption fee is $225.00
