Domestic Short Hair / Tabby / Mixed (short coat) : : Male : : Young : : Small
Maize loves his face rubbed, he purrs so loud. If you stop he head butts you. He's still on the shy side, but he seeks out attention and snuggles. His story - One evening while volunteers were at the shelter, this little guy poked his head out from under a palette by the feed shed. He wouldn't allow them to catch him, but he wanted them to know he was there. They set up a trap with a blanket, and the next morning he was in it. Maize went straight to a foster home where he has learned to love people, other cats, and even dogs. It takes him a little while to warm up to you, but he's come a long way in a short time.
