Precious Piper is about a-year-old, She is a lab/shepherd mix from all appearances, although she’s not nearly the size of a German Shepherd. She has come a long way from the shy girl who would not let us touch her when she first entered the shelter. She loves getting out on her leash with a harness so she can walk  and see new things. Her progress has included becoming part of a pack at her foster home, where she has learned to play with toys (and sneak them away from her friends!), spend time outside with them playing, be crated for mealtime and at other times if needed, and how to sleep all night long,  She defers at all times to the matriarch dog in the household, and is submissive as she should be.  She is one very special girl, who will be best placed in a home with another dog who can be the leader and example to her.
