"Hello, there, I'm CJ, and I need a home. I was in a foster home, but it was just not the same as that place called 'forever.' I'm sure you've heard about FOREVER. I'm told it means "the place where everyone takes care of you as long as you live, even when you get old, grumpy, and gray!" I'd like to experience that myself, and not just read about it. My former foster mom worked at a library, and I consider myself pretty well-read by association, so I am pretty sure that FOREVER is something I'd really like. The thing is, I'm pretty set in my ways, being a senior and all, and I don't enjoy being handled much, you know, like at the vet office? My ideal family would be respectful of me, asking me kindly to comply, and I most likely would grudgingly do it, because having FOREVER as part of my name would be so, so awesome! Can you guess what my breed mix is? Haha, I don't know either. Some of my friends think I'm a Springer Spaniel and Bassett Hound mixed together! I know I like farm animals, and I'm enjoying the other dogs and cats on the foster farm. I'm really glad there are no kids here, because I'm not so good with kids. If you'd like some company as you make your rounds of chores in the morning, and then head back to the house for some quiet time, please think about including little old me in your life! There is no adoption fee for me and I'll give you my life history and medical background... whatever you want! Please give me a chance to be in your household!" Our process begins with an application, found on our website, www.friendsofcampbellcounty.org. Once your application has been received, a volunteer will call the references you list and then will contact you.
