UPDATE: We are happy to announce that Cole is now heartworm free! - - -

Cole has been in foster care while he has his heartworm treatment, which means he has one heartworm prevention pill every month for 12 months. This is called "slow-kill" heartworm treatment, and is only possible because Cole has the most awesome foster home ever.... one where he is loved, spoiled, and babied for the duration of the time of treatment. Cole's foster dad has been very good about making sure he gets his treatments on time, and is looking forward to the time Cole will be pronounced FREE from the disease, and can be adopted to just the right family! He is great with his foster dad, and other adults, and lived with kids in his first home, before he came to the shelter. At home, he loves to snuggle up with his human, but also enjoys time by himself playing with toys. He has a favorite squeaky ball that he loves to carry around, but he is always seen with a toy in his mouth, even when he goes on outings!  We try so hard to describe him and his personality, but let's face it... you just really need to come and meet him! We're happy to set up a time for you to do that! Cole has a sponsored neuter too after he is heartworm free.
