We just shook our heads in wonder when Poppy appeared at our shelter! Her photo doesn't even begin to hint at the condition of her coat, or the state of her emotions. She was said to be on her own with several other dogs for some time, and was recently "befriended." Friendship is in the eye of the beholder, we guess. For now, Poppy is recovering from extreme anxiety at being captured, caged, and then "led" on a leash to the shelter, an experience she will not likely forget. Our hope is to push that experience to the very back of her brain and let the good times take over! Poppy, we have faith that you will soon be friendly and ready for a family!
